Dear Constitutionalists,
Do you believe like we do that it’s time for a
change in the state of Illinois???? Considering all the things that
are happening within the republican and democratic parties, there has
never been a more opportune time for a 3rd party to come in and
actually win elections. People in the state of Illinois are tired of
the betrayals and lack of accountability by our elected officials.
NOW is the perfect time for us to take this
state by storm. WE CAN!!! But we need you!!
There are a lot of exciting things that are
taking place here within the Constitution Party of Illinois. It's a
great time to get on board with a political party that stands for
principle. Help us to gain ballot access so that we can get a
constitutional governor elected in 2006. Accomplishing this will put
us in the position to get a Constitution Party Presidential Candidate
on the Illinois ballot in 2008. The following is just a scratch of the
surface for areas where you could get involved.
Legal Advisory Staff
Legal Advisor - Probably one of the most important jobs of all will be
the job of the legal advisor. As we move into the center of the
political arena, we will be attacked from many legal points. We must
be able to keep our heads above water when it comes to the legal
issues. If you have legal experience and want to make a difference
within the state, we need you, especially if you are a lawyer and can
organize a Legal Advisory Committee.
County Chapters
We are looking for a County Chairman and a Secretary for each county.
These two vital people are the bare necessity to establishing an
official County Chapter. According to the Illinois Election Code, we
need to get a county chapter for each county in order to be in
position to get on the state ballot.
This is the grass roots organization. It is vitally important that we
get a chairman in place in each county. The county chairman will be
responsible for organizing their counties and establishing a
Constitution Party presence at the ground level throughout our state.
We have 102 counties in the state of Illinois and there are a lot of
counties that need your help. Please contact
Gary Dunlap our Vice-Chairman if you are interested in
establishing a county chapter. Gary will get you plugged in to the
right places.
Committee Staff
We also have eight different committees that are looking for folks to
assist within that particular area. The following is a list of
committees, a brief about what they are and their chairmen and how to
contact them.
By-Laws Committee –
The by-laws of the Constitution Party of
Illinois need to be corrected and updated. These By-Laws were
patterned after the By-Laws of Pennsylvania and some items that have
been left in are not applicable to Illinois. There are some items that
need to be further defined such as membership/dues and the
incorporation of the committees and their functions/definitions. If
you have a penchant for rules and regulations this would be the
committee for you. Please contact us if you’d like to participate
in this committee.
Platform Committee
–
Currently, the Constitution Party of
Illinois does not have an official platform. Right now, all we have is
a pledge that, “We will adhere, in principle, to the Constitution
Party Platform.” The Constitution Party Platform is probably why most
of us decided that this was the party for us. I know it is for me. It
will be the platform that defines who we are and what will attract the
people who are sick and tired of “two winged bird, flying in the wrong
direction.” Please contact us if you’d like to participate in this

Public Relations (PR)
Committee – All official correspondence to the public will
be filtered through this committee. Templates regarding certain
issues will be created that can be used by party members to
personalize and send to “Letters to the editor”. It will be their
responsibility to figure ways to get the Constitution Party before
the people of Illinois, so that they will know that there is an
alternative to the “two headed beast.” Please contact Deanna if you
have any strength in writing or speaking. Also, scheduling Public
events such as debates and dinners for the purpose of fund raising
and party awareness will be done through this committee. This will
be a huge endeavor and is probably one of the most important things
that we will be doing as a party to get people to know we are here. Please

Finance Committee
- Are there any number crunchers out
there???? A budget is needed to be created. Also, the financial laws
of the state need to be understood and applied to how we manage our
party finances. If you like handling the green, please contact Chris
and I am sure he would love some assistance. Please contact us if

Election Committee
–
It will be the job of the election
committee to become intimately familiar with the state and county
election codes. It will be the election committee’s responsibility to
qualify candidates for endorsement by the Constitution Party. The
training and support of candidates (Coordinated through the Training
Committee) will come through this committee. Time is upon us and it is
time to start screening candidates. We are currently working on the
Candidate Screening form, which right now is a 20 page document to
help us get the feel for who the candidate is. Please contact us if

Membership Committee
–
All membership issues will be tracked
through this committee, to include maintaining the records of all
memberships, creating and distributing membership packets. This
committee will be responsible for creating membership drives. Please

scenes committee.
Training Committee
–
We are the Constitution Party of Illinois.
Who better to teach on the issues of the Constitution, that the
Constitution Party? The first responsibility of this committee will
be to teach Party members issues of constitutionality. Then the
Constitution Party of Illinois will sponsor community training for the
purpose of educating the public on how the Constitutional Table Cloth
is being pulled out from underneath them and for fund raising. Please

Political Action
Committee –
This committee is responsible for
sending the word out regarding certain legislation and other issues
that we as concerned citizens need to take action on. I understand
that the other political parties have lobbyists; from this committee
would come our lobbyists. Also, one of the important goals of this
committee will be to create alliances with other political action
organizations such as Take Back Illinois, Pro-life organizations,
Pro-Family organizations, etc., etc., It will be another way to get
the Constitution Party name before the people and to build important
bridges that will help us to restore our state and federal governments
back to their constitutional roots. |
